Competition for the conceptual architectural design of an indoor swimming pool and multifunctional sports hall in Pljevlja - Second place

This competition project explores architecture as a mediator between the urban fabric and the surrounding natural landscape. The intervention reactivates a previously disrupted fragment of the park, reconnecting the rhythm of the city with the subtle presence of nature.

The building envelope, composed of reflective undulating aluminium panels, captures fragmented reflections of the surrounding trees and sky, allowing the renewed greenery of the park to visually resonate through the structure. Rather than producing sharp mirror images, the surface softly diffuses light and multiplies the presence of the landscape, while the ground level remains fluid and permeable - where paths, vegetation and water surfaces create a continuous spatial experience that dissolves the boundary between interior and exterior.
